As an added convenience, Wheeling Island offers casino credit and other financial services including casino deposits on account (front money), check cashing privileges, credit card advances and ATM withdraws for slot and table game players.
Casino credit is a convenient way to have funds available to play slot and table games. There is no need to worry about the security risks of carrying large amounts of cash or waiting in cashier teller lines. Plus, qualified players avoid ATM or credit card machine fees.
For your convenience, ATM machines are located throughout the casino.
Credit and debit card cash advances can be initiated at any ATM or credit card kiosk located throughout the casino. Once approved at either an ATM or kiosk, you may proceed to the main cage to complete your transaction.
You may cash a personal check at the main cage located on the main gaming floor. To cash personal checks, you must fill out a brief check cashing application, which is available at the main cage. Once approved, you will be issued a check cashing card which will allow you to cash checks at the casino.
You may deposit funds for gaming at Wheeling Island. The funds can be accessed at any table game to buy chips or cash can be withdrawn at the main cage. To do so, you must first establish an account by visiting or calling the credit office.
Wheeling Island can provide a line of credit that can be used for table games and slots. Casino credit provides a safe environment in which to play. Once approved, you sign a marker, or counter check for the amount you need, up to your approved limit. At the end of your trip any unused credit is paid back. The remainder of the outstanding credit is then deposited to your bank just as a check would be.
With Casino Credit, there is no need to bring cash or carry your checkbook. The minimum credit line is $1,000.
Benefits of Casino Credit
How It Works
Once a credit line is established, you can ask for a “marker” at the table game pit or at the main cage. A marker is a counter check drawn off your bank account which you provided during the credit application process. The marker is exchanged for cash at the cage or gaming chips at the table. The dollar amount of the marker issued determines the maximum time allowed before the marker must be repaid. The repayment deadlines are:
A marker should be paid prior to the repayment deadline. If a marker is not paid by the repayment deadline, Wheeling Island will deposit the marker. Markers can be redeemed at the main cage and can be paid by cash, personal check or with Wheeling Island gaming chips.
Personal checks must be issued on accounts listed on your credit application. All marker redemptions are applied on a last in, first out basis. (i.e., the last marker issued is the first redeemed).
